Help keep Mongolian kids warm this winter with Winter Kits - quality jackets and boots for the snow.
Auckland
This winter we’re aiming to help clothe 200 Mongolian kids with warm winter jackets and boots to keep them cosy and healthy throughout the cold months. The families receiving Winter Kits can’t afford the clothing needed to keep children warm in extreme temperatures. At times it gets as cold as -40 degrees Celsius! Without the right gear and no vehicle for transport, some kids end up missing months of school!
A quality warm jacket and boots costs $100 NZD. These are distributed with the help of local churches to kids aged 6-14 years. Many of these children are living in challenging situations – for example, orphans, kids with single-parents who are temporarily living in another family’s overcrowded home, or kids who’re expected to take care of their disabled parents.
Asian Outreach New Zealand (AONZ) is a Christian NGO that's been empowering and transforming the lives of families across Asia for 50 years. AONZ works with local partners to bring holistic and sustainable development to the most vulnerable areas in Asia.
We'll be kitting out 200 (or more) Mongolian kids with warm jackets and boots (winter kits).
