Elim students are empowering rural Cambodian children with the gift of education, through their Acts for ACTS fundraiser!
Mount Albert, Auckland
Elim Christian College (Mt Albert) is joining forces with Asian Outreach NZ to empower rural Cambodian children with the gift of education. In the month of June, Elim students are performing fundraising-acts to help sponsor children in the ACTS programme. ACTS stands for Assisting Children to School, and that's exactly what this ministry does! Without ACTS, these children would be working in the fields with their parents.
Through ACTS sponsorship, children receive: uniforms, backpacks and stationery, bikes if they live far from school and extra tuition to help them catch up on learning they've missed. They also get to attend Happy Club (a fun after-school activity where they learn about Jesus). ACTS sponsorship removes the barriers to school-attendance so that children can break free from the generational cycle of poverty. With your help, these children are now gaining an education and dreaming of a bright future!
Support Elim students generously, as they undertake ACTS of Asking, ACTS of Kindness and ACTS of Endurance this month, to raise funds for the ACTS children in rural Cambodia!
Asian Outreach New Zealand (AONZ) is a Christian NGO that's been empowering and transforming the lives of families across Asia for 50 years. AONZ works with local partners to bring holistic and sustainable development to the most vulnerable areas in Asia.
All funds will support the ongoing sponsorship of 180 children currently enrolled in the ACTS programme in rural Cambodia - providing them with uniforms, backpacks, stationery, bikes, extra-tuition and roof-repairs when needed.
