Embracing Islam in New Zealand

I am Hanadi Qawar from Jordan, a PhD student at The University of Auckland.

I am asking for your generosity to participate in my research which aims at supporting and projecting the status and needs of the growing new Muslim population in New Zealand. Not only your donations will help me pay my tuition fees for the remaining two years as a PhD student, but also will shed light on an amazing and loving community.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and being the main provider for my family, I am facing a financial hardship that made me suspend my enrollment for 6 months. I believe that studying the new Muslim community has a great significance in informing New Zealand and the world about the Muslim community, their needs, their aspirations, and how it is to be practitioners of Islam in a supportive peaceful country like New Zealand; a country that gave the whole world a great example of solidarity, compassion, cohesion, and synergism.

I am reaching out with a vested interest in seeing the Muslim community thrive.
