Running 12 marathons in 12 months to raise $25,000 for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand – help me go the distance for those with CF!

I have cystic fibrosis (CF), a condition that impacts my lungs and limits my daily life in many ways—but it won’t stop me from achieving this. This year, I’ve set myself an enormous challenge: running 12 marathons in 12 months. This goal isn’t just about pushing my limits; it's about raising awareness and crucial funds for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand (CFNZ).

CFNZ provides life-changing support for those of us with CF and our families. Their mission is to improve lives and increase the life expectancy for people with CF in New Zealand. I’m aiming to raise $25,000 to help them expand their reach and make a difference for those of us facing this battle every day.

Every marathon I complete will represent the resilience and determination it takes to live with CF, and with each step, I’ll be running for those who can’t.

Goal 1 Complete, Next Up Goal 2... 15 December 2025

Sunday the 14th of December concluded the final marathon of 12 for 2025. That is my part of the mission done and dusted. It was a beautiful morning spent running around the Auckland Domain surrounded by many friends and family running and cheering me on to the finish. That's the running part sorted.

Now, we are very close to reaching goal number 2 and the most important one, $25,000 for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand. At the time of writing, the goal is currently $405 short of the big 25. The amount that has been donated over the past 5 days is honestly mind blowing to me. Going from $25,000 not looking so possible a week ago to now being in reaching distance is bringing tears to my eyes. We are very nearly there, the mission is just about complete.
