24hours of running madness to raise money for Kura Kai to help them with their mission of fuelling the next generation
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
My daughter and I are both massive believers in fuelling the body, looking after the mind and achieving the impossible!
We’ve thought about ways of giving back and how could we do this on a personal level.
Payten approached me about doing the 24 hour challenge where pretty much you just run as much as you can in 24 hours! I asked her if it was fundraising for something and it’s not, so I told her she was mad and I’d only do it if it was for a purpose as I wasn’t keen on staying awake for 24hours let alone running for that long.
On a morning run I had an idea, I’d been keen to put myself through that mission if we were doing something good for others and that’s when donating to Kura Kai popped into my brain!
They are already doing such amazing work providing food into schools to help fuel the next generation and as we know food fuels the mind and the body!
Please get behind us on this mad challenge we’ve set ourselves!
The run takes place on the 28/29 September.
