30 days. No food. I’m fasting to raise awareness & funds for KidsCan to support children in need.
Auckland
I’m doing a 30-day water-only fast from 19 July to 19 August to raise funds for KidsCan and support Kiwi kids living in poverty.
For many of us, food is everywhere - Uber Eats, snacks on demand, a fridge full of choices. But for too many children in Aotearoa, there isn’t even bread in the cupboard. Some arrive at school cold, hungry, and embarrassed because they don’t have a jacket or proper shoes.
KidsCan is changing that - providing food, warm clothing, and essentials so kids can focus on learning, not survival. Last year alone, they distributed over 5.6 million food items and 70,000 raincoats to children in need.
For this fast, I’ve set strict rules: water only, with the exception of Re-Lyte electrolytes (pure salts-no sugars, no flavours). This will be amentally and physically challenging, but it’s nothing compared to what these kids face every single day. I know I can reach for Uber Eats, the fridge, or a vending machine any time I’m hungry. Many kids don’t even know where their next meal will come from.
Every dollar you give goes directly to help a kiwi kid in need. Please donate what you can and help give these kids the start in life they deserve.
