Walking the Te Araroa Trail, 3000km length of New Zealand for Nature Conservation
Waihi, Waikato
Hey there, I'm Zibo! I've moved from across the ditch and lived in the New Zealand for the past two years.
I have spent much of my time here exploring the wonderous landscapes and ecology of New Zealand. Experienced first-hand the great work done by the Department of Conservation (DOC) to make nature accessible to all and preserving it for the future. I have also seen the damage caused by invasive species and human activities. That is why I decided to raise some awareness and funds for the New Zealand Nature Fund.
New Zealand Nature Fund is working alongside DOC in a wide range of conservation projects, protect our most vulnerable and precious habitats and creatures for generations to come.
This September, I'll be going for a "little" walk from Cape Reinga (Tip of the North Island) to Bluff (Bottom of the South Island). A 3000km journey through the beaches, bush and mountains of New Zealand. I hope to bring you all along on my journey, to show you the unfiltered version of this gem hidden in the forgotten corner of the world.
