Auckland Round the Bays 2021: Sponsor me to raise money for Mental Health Therapies NZ
Please sponsor me to run Round the Bays 2021 to raise $4,000 - funding a year of quality therapy for one mum.

Mental Health Therapies NZ exist "to disrupt intergenerational trauma within whānau affected by intimate partner violence by supporting the mental health of mums through funding 12 months of counselling."
My name is Katie Rickson, and as a copywriter, I've done a bit of work with this charity and I support them on a weekly basis. But I've always wanted to do more. That's why I'd love for you to help me reach my goal of $4,000 as I run Auckland Round the Bays in February 2021.
I've never experienced domestic violence but I want to do my bit to support women who have. As someone who has had mental health challenges, I know firsthand how much therapy can help you process and recover, and being able to choose your provider is very empowering.

Round the Bays cancelled - your donations still went to a very worthy cause 28 February 2021
Hello everyone,
Well, it's not what anyone wanted and I feel disappointed that Round the Bays 2021 was not able to go ahead because of moving to Alert Level Three this morning. I do know that it was the right thing to do to look after each other's health and help contain the spread.
I just wanted to reassure everyone who kindly donated that your money still went directly to Mental Health Therapies NZ. Together we raised just over six months' worth of therapy for a kiwi mum healing from intimate partner violence. That's something we can all be very proud of amidst these challenging times.
I'm going to think over the next few days about whether I do my own run around my local area. But for now, thank you so much again for all your generous donations. It will make a massive difference to someone's life.
