Brierly McGee - Supporting Youthline Wellington's Digital Appeal 2020

As most of you know, I am passionate about promoting and encouraging positive youth development within our communities.

I am passionate, because I know from my own experience and the people that surround me, that social and emotional support are a priority, in terms of maintaining a healthy state of mind and well being. I know this because in times that I have found myself in a dark place, and when the people around me have found themselves in a dark place, having support available has always had a positive impact on the situation. In times like these, it is even more crucial that we band together to support our youth by offering online services when we cannot provide them in person.

I'm taking part in Youthline Wellington's Digital Appeal 2020 as a Digital Volunteer! Due to COVID-19, Youthline Wellington is going digital and shifting their Annual Street Appeal online. Digital Volunteers like me are taking to the web to spread the word of Youthline Wellington's services and raise funds for the organisation's ongoing operations - all from the safety of our homes!

At a time when the need for support and connection is immense, Youthline Wellington are here for young kiwis and those that surround them. So, let's get together to support Youthline Wellington in the running of their helpline and education programme services.
