Youthline Wellington's Digital Appeal 2020
Youthline Wellington's Digital Appeal 2020 allows you to support us from the safety of your home!Nationwide
Every year, Youthline Wellington holds an Annual Street Appeal. However, due to COVID-19, we will be going digital with our appeal this year!
To become a digital volunteer and encourage your whānau to donate to your page, click here: https://givealittle.co.nz/r/youthline-digital-appeal-2020. Or simply select 'donate.'
Our Digital Appeal is an opportunity for Youthline Wellington to promote our services, connect (using the power of the internet!) with our community, and collect donations to support the ongoing operations of our organisation - all while remaining in the safety of our homes!
The wellbeing of youth in New Zealand is top priority for us and at a time when New Zealand has the highest rates of mental health conditions in the world, we are finding as many ways possible to make a difference through programmes, workshops, and our national helpline.
Support us and we will continue to have the resources to support you!
Aroha mai, Aroha atu (love towards us, love going out from us).
Youthline’s primary purpose is to support and develop young people. We do this through telephone, text and webchat counselling, as well as education programmes in schools and communities. We also offer in-depth training and support for our dedicated volunteers.
Youthline Wellington aims to deliver a 24-hour telephone and text counselling service primarily to youth in the Wellington region, but also to others in need. We aim to deliver a safe youth-centred service that supports and empowers people to make positive decisions in their lives, and to pass on knowledge of other services that could assist young people with their needs.
Our education programmes to schools and communities are tailored to meet their specific needs. We run workshops on cyber-bullying, internet safety, anger management, goal setting, well-being, stress and pressure, communication skills and body image.
