Fundraising for Mental Health Foundation

Auckland

The motivation to complete this world first challenge, is to raise money and awareness for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand with a particular focus on Men's mental health. Unfortunately I have lost too many friends who have battled mental illness, as a society we need to change to embrace vulnerability as a strength and be accepting of those suffering mental illness. As I set off on this extreme physical challenge, I aim to expose my vulnerabilities and share my stories in a relatable way with a key message that it is 'ok to ask for help'. My aim is to climb the highest peak on each of the seven summits from sea level by running consecutive marathons daily, till I reach the mountain and begin to climb. So far I have completed 4 of the 7 summits.
