I'm cycling the length of the country to raise money for Nelson Tasman Hospice. Please support me!
Nelson / Tasman
I'm taking on the challenge to cycle 3000km - the length of New Zealand - and raising much-needed money for Nelson Tasman Hospice at the same time.
I only took up mountain biking last year so doing the Tour Aotearoa brevet (a set distance within a set time-frame of 10 - 30 days) will be tough. But I have cycled all my life since I was a three-year-old in Holland so I should be able to manage the 30 days of 100km/day distance.
I've been fitting in training around my landscaping work ahead of the start date of February 21 this year.
I know my friends and business colleagues will support me. Please donate to this great cause.

I'm fundraising for Nelson Tasman Hospice as it is a great cause that I have personal experience of - both my parents died of cancer and my father had great care in hospice.
We made it! 23 March 2020
My sister, friend and I have completed the 3000 km Tour Aotearoa!
My last report from Bluff: "The last 33km done on a sunny day, but in a westerly blustery wind. So nice to be here after our adventures of 29 days. What a trip it has been, especially doing it together with Ina my Sister and John my mate from way back.
Just another 33km back to Invercargill now, haha.
Looking for a van to go back rather then flying."
You can still donate!
