Raising money for Tauranga Cystic Fibrosis by doing the 2016 Spirited Women challenge, and helping our teammate with CF pay her entry fee.
Bay of Plenty
Our Tauranga-based team of ex-roller derby girls (women) are entering the 2016 Spirited Women challenge.
We've decided to fundraise for Tauranga Cystic Fibrosis as part of our challenge, and also to support our teammate Kristie Purton who lives with CF, by paying her entry fee for the challenge.
Our goal is to reach at least $500 - $250 for Kristie's entry fee and $250 for Tauranga Cystic Fibrosis. If we raise more than $500 we will donate everything above $250 to Tauranga CF. If we don't quite make it, we will still donate 50% of funds raised to Tauranga CF.
To clarify - the rest of our team are self-funding our own fees and don't benefit from this cause.
Look for extra opportunities on Facebook to sponsor us to do additional challenges beyond just completing the race itself - we are up for anything that helps us raise funds as long as we stay safe and injury free!
