Participating in Walk for Welfare
Nationwide
One of my team came up with the idea to walk 100km to raise money for CDRRNZ.
After laughing at the thought of walking that far I thought bugger it, let's do it! My dogs will love it, and I'll raise money for all those dogs we help and I adore so much.
Now I need your help making sure my wandering gets us to our mighty aim of raising $50,000!
If you could donate to help us, that would be amazing.
I'll share my journey and stories about some of the dogs we've helped. And why it's so important!
These dogs deserve better, and our team is on a mission to make sure they get what they deserve, the absolute BEST!
Right, I'm off to walk my butt off! Wish me luck!
The story of Lincoln 3 March 2025
In 2020 we were called by council about a wee dog in their care. He had been found by the train tracks and was terrified of everyone. He came in with his legs matted together and in a right state.
We agreed, as he needed a 2nd chance.
Lincoln was the most terrified dog. He had zero aggression but was so scared of humans. He would cower and shut down whenever someone wanted to touch him, or be near him.
We spent months teaching him that humans are good and can be trusted, and now 5 years down the track and he's the most social, loving boy. He has a real sense of humans feelings and is an unofficial emotional support dog, knowing when people are sad and plonking himself on their knee.
He is proof that ANY dog can be neglected or abused, and that with work can become a wonderful member of anyones family if given a chance.
We believe in helping ANY dog we can, no matter the size, breed or situation.
