Fundraising by cutting hair and donating it to wigs for those with cancer. Extra funds raised going to Women's Refuge NZ.
Canterbury
Kia ora! My name is Pieta, I go to school at St Andrews College, and I am cutting my hair for cancer.
When it gets cut, it will be donated towards a wig for someone who has lost their own hair in chemotherapy. More than 23,000 New Zealanders are diagnosed with cancer each year, and I hope this will extend some support and aroha to someone out there.
You can support this cause by donating on this page. All money is going directly to Women's Refuge NZ. The money I'd get for the hair donation will be joining yours too. :)
Women's Refuge NZ is an organisation who offer support, safe housing and educational services to women & children who've experienced domestic violence, raise awareness & prevent it. The funds raised are going to them to help them achieve that.

Hi everyone -
Thank you so much for your support of this cause!
Just letting you know that the company has now accepted my hair for wig material and paid $70 for it to Women's Refuge.
That brings us to a total of $330 to date with two weeks to go. :)
If you know anyone who'd like to donate, it's not too late.
Thank you for everything.
- Pieta
