Somes House Fundraiser for 180 Degrees: supporting under-resourced Canterbury youth to experience outdoor adventure therapy

My name is Angus. I am a member of the service group at Somes House, Christ College.

As a group we have decided to raise funds for an incredible organisation here in Christchurch called 180 Degrees Trust. They run life-changing programmes for under resourced youth aged 13–17 who face financial, educational, behavioural & personal challenges. Using outdoor adventure therapy, mentoring & wilderness camps these teenagers develop vital problem-solving skills & build long-term resilience. The aim of our school service group is to run a talent show on the 4th August at lunchtime.

Every cent raised through donations and this Givealittle page will go directly towards an outdoor experience for up to 12 teenagers. They will experience the Craigeburn Range Traverse.

The goal is to raise $9,000 to be able to take these young people on the trip.
