Running my first marathon to help The Kindness Collective NZ support families in need.

Nationwide

Training for a marathon has taught me that progress doesn’t come from being strong all the time, but from showing up on the hard days and trusting that small steps matter.

The Kindness Collective exists for the same reason. They step in quietly when families are struggling — offering food, care packages, dignity, and kindness when it’s needed most. Not because people have failed, but because life can be hard.

As a mum and Nurse I believe deeply in community, and I know how empowering it is to feel supported during tough seasons. No one should have to navigate hardship alone, and that’s why on the 18th April 2026 I will run the Lake Karapiro full marathon.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
