Running 21.1km in memory of my Uncle and to raise funds for Cancer Society NZ who supported him throughout his treatment.
Christchurch, Canterbury
On April 12th, I am completing my second half-marathon however, this time it is in memory of my Uncle Ross, who passed away in May 2024 due to brain cancer. He was incredibly active and was constantly supporting me throughout my sporting career. During his treatment, Cancer Society NZ was a massive help to both him and my family.
This is why I have chosen to put myself through the mental and physical challenge of a half-marathon to raise awareness for Brain Cancer and, hopefully, with your support, be able to fundraise for this amazing charity.
