Trying to raise money for Greyhounds as Pets with a walkie
Wellington
Hi, I'm Holly, and I'm 13. I recently adopted my first dog, the greyhound Archie (pictured) which opened my eyes not only to the wonders of greyhound ownership but to the fabulous Greyhounds as Pets where I got him. So that's why I am doing a 35km walk around Wellington south coast on the 10th of March as a fundraiser, and I would really appreciate any donation you can make :)
Because the charity has done so much for me by helping me find Archie.
Mission accomplished! 12 March 2018
Thank you to all the lovely people who have donated to Holly's cause! Holly had a great day and she worked really hard to finish the 35km in 8.5 hours, with only brief stops along the way. Mum, Dad and Archie all did stints along the way, but Holly was the only one to do the whole distance, and despite sore legs and feet she was determined to finish "for the snootles"! GAP does a fabulous job of rehoming greyhounds, a truly wonderful breed that makes for awesome pets. It costs a lot, however, to get a greyhound ready for rehoming, and we are thrilled to be able to "givealittle" back to the organisation the gave us Archie. Soon we will put photos up from the walk so you can all see how it went!
