Sean Barrett shave for a cure.

Auckland

Hi my name is Sean Barrett and I want to fundraise for the NZ cancer society.

My Dad was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2013, and by the time this was discovered it had unfortunately travelled to his liver.

He has since had 5 operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which has been a tough road for my Dad, Mum, brother and I.

We are very lucky we have a strong family, amazing friends and a fantastic network of people to help us through.

I know that not everyone going though cancer has the support that we do and thats why I want to raise money for the NZ Cancer Society.

They do an amazing job supporting people who need it, providing everything from getting patients to appointments that they may otherwise not make, providing counselling services and providing accommodation close to treatment facilities for those that live a distance away, and much more.

It also conducts and funds world class research into cancer prevention and treatment.

On 07/04/2017 I will be shaving my head for the NZ Cancer Society.

Any donations big or small will be gratefully received on behalf of the NZ Cancer Society, to help with the great work that they do for all the cancer patients and their families.

Thank you for taking the time to consider making a donation to this cause.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
