Give the gift of sound to our community of older people

$1,160 of $2,000 goal
Given by 19 generous donors in 14 days

Too many people suffer in silence. Lets help the older generation hear all of the joys that life has to offer.

Hamilton, Waikato

Here at Hamilton Hearing Association, we believe that hearing is a necessity, not a luxury.

Everyone should have equal access to ear health services, and older people in particular should be able to enjoy their senior years with great hearing

Unfortunately, this is not the case for the majority of our older generation in retirement homes. They are often forgotten about and left alone in the silence. There is not enough funding for this essential work.

We believe that these residents deserve better and want to ensure that those in a rest home have the help and support that they deserve to look after their ear health. We visit the residents and check their ears for any ear wax build up and take care of their hearing aids to ensure that they are working at full capacity.

We need your help to continue the work we do in rest homes, so that older people can live life to the fullest!

Over the next 12 days, help us raise $5,000 to help 1500 people to hear the wonders of the world. Donate Now!

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
