Grind for Gaius

Hello, I'm Jasper, and I'm raising funds for my friend Gaius.

Gaius has faced many challenges since before he was born. He was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and later with asplenia, hydrocephalus, requires G-tube feeding, and has the rare genetic condition 22q11.2 duplication syndrome.

Despite everything he has been through, Gaius is one of the strongest little boys I know. He has spent much of his life in and out of Starship Hospital, meeting each challenge with courage, resilience, and determination.

Gaius has now been accepted into a 3-week intensive NAPA Therapy programme, where he will receive daily therapy to help build his strength, skills, confidence, and independence. The programme costs around AUD $8,500, excluding travel and accommodation.

To help support Gaius and ease some of the financial burden on his family, I will be taking on a personal challenge during his three weeks of therapy: completing at least 100 kilometres through trail running, walking, and hiking.

Every kilometre will represent the resilience Gaius shows every day, and every dollar raised will go towards helping him access this life-changing opportunity.
