I'm taking part in the Wellington half marathon in memory of my father-in-law to raise money for Life Flight.

Wellington

On Thursday 18th April my father-in-law was involved in an accident in the Wairarapa which left him in a critical condition. Life Flight airlifted him from Masterton to Wellington, where he spent 5 days in ICU before unfortunately passing away.

Kevin was a passionate runner and participated numerous times in the Wellington half marathon. He was also extremely supportive of me as I picked up running, would always ask me how I was getting on with training and gave me lots of tips whenever we would catch up. I have decided to take part in the half marathon on 30th of June this year, in honour of Kevin who was adored by myself and so many others.

As a part of this I would like to raise as much money as I can for Life Flight. We are so grateful to them for the work they did in order to give Kevin the best possible shot at survival. Any donation you are able to make would be much appreciated.

If you're interested in following my training it can be found at https://www.strava.com/athletes/31557899
