Fighting for a cause: UCSA Charity Fight Night. About to take on an experience of a life time to raise awareness for Melanoma NZ.
Canterbury
Hey guys, thanks for making it to the page - you rock!

I'm about to embark on experience of a life time, taking on 8 weeks of boxing training and finally competing in the UCSA Charity fight night on July 22!
The charity that I will be fighting for is Melanoma NZ. I believe this is a very important foundation to support as skin cancer has a severe and wide spread impact on Kiwis of all ages.
Each year, approximately 4000 people are diagnosed with Melanoma Skin Cancer, and 300 lives are lost.

Melanoma NZ Mission Statement:
"Our mission is to prevent avoidable deaths from melanoma and alleviate anxiety among those affected by it."

I myself have had close family and friends, whom I hold dear to me, that have been affected by Melanoma and I am sure that many of you have also had personal experiences with this disease. This has been the driver and motivation to - quite literally - fight for this cause.
I am extremely excited to take on the challenge and to raise awareness for Melanoma NZ. I really appreciate your contributions to this cause, no donation is too big nor too small. Thank you kindly, ya Legends.
