Blazing the Peak for Heart Kids Hawke's Bay

Hawke's Bay
Our family are blessed to have great tickers working at full speed. Not everyone is so fortunate. Kate and I plan on putting our tickers to the test on Sunday 19 November during the Peak Trail Blazer to raise funds for Heart Kids Hawke's Bay. The Peak Trail Blazer is a yearly event that raises funds for organisations like Heart Kids Hawke's Bay (who get no government funding). Every year is better than the last and this year will be no exception. Kate is running the Tainui Trail. I'm an old bird recovering from an injury so will be walking it (eating Kate's dust more like!). Regardless, every step we take as Heart Squaddies and the money you donate (no matter how small or large) is for Heart Kids Hawke's Bay! ❤️

We love kids. We love Te Mata Peak. We love the Village (best suburb in NZ!). We love this region. We love hearts ♥️. It makes sense then for us to want to raise money for Heart Kids Hawke's Bay. We have been doing the Peak Trail Blazer as a family on and off since 2010 and this year want to be Heart Squaddies and help raise much needed funds for this local organisation. Heart Kids Hawke's Bay advocate for and support Hawke's Bay families of children born with congenital heart disease. Please, have a ❤️and donate today x

Thank you to everyone who generously supported us doing the Peak Trail Blazer on Sunday. Donations close off in the morning and we are at a super final total of $697 Wow!! I can't thank you enough. Together with our fellow heart squaddies we raised about $3,700 for Heart Kids Hawke's Bay. We got to meet some of the recipients on Sunday. They were so thankful and grateful and rather emotional. You made their day ❤️
