Parents for Climate Aotearoa believes in the power of community-led solutions for local climate change impacts. We want to see all children thrive in communities grounded in hope and trust through generations working together to build strong relationships and local led solutions.

Right now, many of us are struggling to know how to talk about climate change - what it means for our families and our children's future. We are feeling anxious about raising our kids in a rapidly changing climate. We are seeing the impacts of climate change on a daily basis in Aotearoa and around the world, and this is resulting in poor mental health in our young people and caregivers.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is you are not alone and together we can do something about it. As parents the best thing we can do is talk about climate change with the people we care about, in a way that supports their mental wellbeing (and ours!). We provide parents with in person and online workshops to develop the skills to both talk with and listen to your children about climate change and their anxieties. We also provide ongoing peer to peer support so we can help each other raise emotionally resilient children in these rapidly changing times.
