Give what you can. I'm walking 3000km across New Zealand to raise awareness and cash for the awesome NZ charity Sustainable Coastlines.
Nationwide
Hi, my name is Holly. This summer, I'm walking The Long Pathway! From Cape Reinga, to Bluff, I'm putting one foot in front of the other over 3000km of NZ's urban and scenic landscapes. My solo hike across the length of the country will take between 4 and 6 months from October to around March, and I'll be using that time to raise funds for Sustainable Coastlines.
The horrific consequences of plastics are becoming more apparent. The ever rising amount of plastic found washed up along coastlines or seen floating in waterways is something people are becoming more and more aware of. While New Zealand is internationally famed for its green hues and gorgeous unspoilt landscapes, it is not immune to the effects of mass produced single use plastics.
I want to be part of the solution! As I tramp through the backcountry I'll be litter picking as I go. Taking the opportunity of the trails varied landscapes to have a positive impact on beaches, waterways and trails. Along with this I'll be raising funds and awareness for Sustainable Coastlines, an amazing NZ charity on a mission to enable people to look after the coastlines and waterways they love. The charity work to organise coastal clean-up events, waterway tree planting, education and public awareness campaigns to prevent litter, entering the natural environment in NZ.
Any amount at all is appreciated and makes a difference!

I want to give back to this amazing country in the best way. Helping to promote environmental care and a local NZ charity that care for the environment I'll be walking through.
