Sustainable Coastlines

We set out to sustain and protect our coastlines: this is at the core of everything we do. We love our coasts and we work with our sleeves

Auckland

Focusing on simple, positive, grass roots actions that involve as many people as possible in fun activities in places they love.

Since early 2008 we've successfully motivated over 26,500 volunteers to remove around 123 tonnes of trash from beaches around Aotearoa and the Pacific. During this time we've raised large-scale awareness about the challenge of marine pollution and solutions to address it through media and public advertising campaigns and through educational presentations to over 77,000 school students, community groups and businesses.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
