Mt Wellington Homeschool division are fundraising for the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem

Auckland

Please sponsor cadets from our division, who are being blindfolded while doing different activities – see our updates for more information. Last year, our annual fundraising efforts for St John Eye Hospital involved a special day at division where some of our cadets made a little man out of cardboard boxes and tubes, and we had fun putting coins in the top and listening to them roll down inside.

It's hard to play with Lego when you're blindfolded  5 August 2016

Master WEJ did the blindfold challenge for one hour today. He spent a lot of time walking around memorizing where everything was. Stairs were particularly tricky but he found it most frustrating that he could not play with his Lego as per normal. He found that he could do some of his piano practice OK, but otherwise struggled to figure out what he could actually do with his time.

Awesome work Zachariah. Two and a half hours is a long time to be blindfolded. It sounds like you learnt a lot from the experience, and I hope you raise lots of money to help those who can't see.
