Jacob, Monty & Sarah 3000 km Challenge

In 2016 we lost Jacob and Monty's amazing Dad to a heart attack at only 36 years old and my awesome brother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the same age.

For these things to happen to two young healthy, active people has been a huge shock and it has left us as a family feeling we want to do something. But it has taken us a few years to get there!!

As we enjoy being active and being healthy and active is something that is beneficial to both these conditions we came up with this idea .....

Over the next year we are going to run/walk, cycle and swim 3000 km as a family. This works out as approx 60 km per week between the 3 of us. The challenge isn't particularly the weekly amount but keeping it up week in week out for 12 months.

We won't count general walking about - only organised family walks.

3000 km?? Seemed like a good number and is also the distance from here to the Pacific Islands, which seemed pretty cool!
