MHF cycle tour of NZ
Auckland
I’ve done some stupid things in my time, and this is going to be one of them.
As of yesterday, I’m giving the ticker an extended blow out and (attempting) cycling the length of the country from Cape Reinga to Bluff. An idea born out of the desire to complete the Te Araroa trail, but without the luxury of time. Instead, I have jumped on two wheels with the hope of being home in the South Island just before Christmas.
Initially the enthusiasm stemmed from the idea of a personal challenge and to get out and see the country. However I’ve since decided to do it for something greater than myself, the Mental Health Foundation. Given my shoddy mo-growing ability, consider this as my “movember.”
Please consider donating, even just the price of your morning coffee, to join in the support of the good māhi the NZ MHF do, and preventing me from taking a bus down south from Auckland.
Any mates that would be willing to join me on the road for a day or few would be magic. It’s day two and I’m lonely.
