The Trade Up Challenge allows every day New Zealanders to start a micro enterprise and raise money for entrepreneurs in Myanmar and Malawi
Auckland
I'm a big fan of ADC and have been involved with them for many years! I've visited both projects several times and have seen first hand the difference ADC's work has made to the communities in both Myanmar and Malawi.
I'm an engineer and entrepreneur and am constantly inspired by the clever business set up by our clients overseas. It's time to take a leaf out of their book and start up a micro-enterprise to raise money for those who need it!
I'm setting up a micro enterprise focused on trading items, increasing value each time, with the intent of selling my final item at auction after a month.
Check in to see my most recent trades and show your support by donating to increase the overall "value" of my business.
My goal is to raise $1000 through donations and the sale of my final traded item. All the proceeds go to our projects in Myanmar and Malawi so your donation will make a real difference to the lives of our clients and their communities!
Final Trade! 27 September 2015
Final Trade!
OK, so last day of trading and I’m absolutely pumped with my final trade! I swapped one of my line drawings for this amazing portrait by local artist Louise Kane. Similar paintings of hers have sold at auctions for over $1000! Thanks for the amazing generosity!
The painting is called Moku and it’s acrylic on canvas. Its 600mm x 500mm.
So pumped to be able to sell this! Thanks Lousie!
Thanks again to all the awesome people who have helped me get this far – you guys are all stars! Tomorrow is the close of trading. Everything I have accumulated to date will then be loaded on to trademe to be bid on with all proceeds going to help local entrepreneurs in Myanmar and Malawi
If you want to show your support without bidding on an item, please make a donation!
Support competitors in this exciting new charity challenge as they take $2 and trade their way to the best item possible.
