Participating in Clash for Construction 2023
Auckland
Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment and share something important with all of you. I've joined @hirepool @clashforconstruction charity boxing event that will see people in construction step in the ring to raise funds for @matesinconstructionnewzealand and help them keep fighting the good fight around suicide prevention.
I'm taking on a 12-week boxing training at @glozier_boxing Manukau and here's my why:
I've battled with anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember, hitting rock bottom in my younger years and fought fiercely against my inner demons. The struggles I've faced shaped who I am today.
It hasn't been an easy road, but I've learned to embrace the tools that have helped me along the way. One of which is physical fitness - specifically, boxing. The sport itself has become so much more than just a means of staying active - it has become a powerful symbol of resilience, strength, and the ability to overcome our fears. It's a constant reminder to keep fighting.
I want to remind each and every one of you that even in the darkest moments, there is always a fight left within us. We are stronger than we realise. If you need someone to listen or want to release frustrations, I'm here for you. Let's fight for a brighter tomorrow, where no one battles alone.
Together, we've got this! πͺπΎβ€οΈ
