Two-times breast cancer survivor and Paddle For Hope ambassador Karin is paddling to help cancer survivors improve their quality of life
Auckland
I was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 26 and then again at the age of 40.
I believe there is life after breast cancer, and I want to share this with the rest of New Zealand.
Paddleboarding has been my passion for 6 years now (probably the most consistent thing I've ever done!) Not only does it help me stay fit, but it contributes to hugely to my spiritual and emotional wellbeing.
I believe it can have great benefits to men and women of all ages recovering from cancer, so my friends and I are paddling to help raise funds for PaddleOn SUP Rehabilitation Program by PINC & STEEL.
This summer will be my 8th Paddle For Hope relay event!
Each week I'm inviting new paddlers to join my team so they can also experience the incredible feeling you get from being on the water.
Please show your support by donating to our fundraising page, and get in touch to paddle with me!
