We are running 3km a Day this November to help the kids of Aotearoa
Auckland
Kia Ora Whānau & friends,
As October draws to a close - a couple of my mates and I have decided to run 3km a day for the month of november to raise funds for Kids Can.
As a current teacher in NZ and through the various other roles I have had the opportunity to carry out in my life so far, it is clear that so many kiwi kids are going without. These children are lacking daily necessities that so many of us take for granted.
1 in 6 Kiwi kids live in poverty.
Too many Kiwi kids are in need and are missing out on learning because they're too hungry, tired or unwell to focus in class. Kids Can’s monthly donations help them to feed and clothe kids in over 1000 schools and childhood centres daily - so they can thrive and fulfill their potential.
187,000 children live in poverty, going without the essentials like food and adequate clothing.
Kids Can is on a mission to change that and we want to help them in every little way we can!
Please donate if you are willing and/or able. Every little bit counts. Feel free to jump on board & run the kms with us daily, or just track our progress - I have added the strava group link below🫶🏽
Ngā mihi,
TJ xx
