Knight Family Purple Day Fundraiser to raise awareness of epilepsy and support Epilepsy NZ and the great work they do in our communities.
Saint Martins, Christchurch
Please help us raise funds for Epilepsy NZ. It’s international Purple Day on the 25th of March. Will and I are making and delivering lemon and lavender cupcakes for donations, if cupcakes aren’t your thing please feel free to donate, or simple wear Purple tomorrow to raise awareness.
Will has intractable epilepsy which means not all of his seizures are controlled by medication, this affects his physical and mental well-being.
He is unable to work, study, drive, socialise like his peers, some days are harder than others.
Will has many different types of seizures which are often misunderstood which can be frightening for others, confusing for Will and frustrating for us.
Epilepsy NZ have provided a monthly support group for young adults arranged by our local epilepsy educator.
Will looks forward to this each month.
Epilepsy NZ also provide education for schools, workplaces and organisations, and help support people with epilepsy to navigate some of their challenges in life.
Despite Wills challenges he approaches life with optimism and motivation, on a level we can only aspire to. Thank you for your support. 💜
