Little Steps, Big Impact

I am a young dad of 3 beautiful children but my most recent wee boy, decided he wanted his birth to be a little bit special. He was here very quickly, almost too quickly his little body was using too much energy to compensate for his wet lungs, his blood sugar level dropped, he wasn't getting enough oxygen. Within 5 hours of being born he was on a helicopter flying to Dunedin NICU.

He had a CPAP machine on, he had a feeding tube in, he was hooked up to the monitor with cables. It all did not seem real once I arrived. However the phenomenal team a NICU got him and us settled. They were so amazing feeding, changing him, answering out 2am questions, they were there when we needed some support the most. Little Miracles left us little packages, which they do to every family. This sort of thing is soo beneficial to new parents! Whether its your first or your third baby, all the support you need is there in spades!

Just like they give too all of there wee friends they help out 24/7 every single day.

I am taking on the Papatowai Challenge. It is a 16.6km track through the amazing bush, roads and beaches of the Catlins. You can either run or walk but this year I am going to walk. I have never done a challenge like this before but want to do it with purpose. Help me support these guys.
