FOG Food are losing their locks this September!
Rolleston, Canterbury
The FOG Food team are asking you to join them in losing your locks this September.
Alot of thought has gone into which charities we wanted to support and we think we have selected 3 that have great meaning to us. Bowel Cancer NZ, Coeliac NZ and Child Cancer Foundation NZ.
FOG Food has first hand experience living with coeliac disease. There is a slight risk that those with coeliac disease can develop bowel cancer as it impacts the same area of the bowel. This is why it is so important for gluten free to mean gluten free!
With at least 3 kiwi families impacted by child cancer each week, we feel this is also a great cause to support. The beautiful blonde locks will also be sent off to make wigs for those needing them.
So join us in raising some much needed funds to get conversations going, education delivered and support for those who need it!
It's nearly CHOP time! 27 September 2022
I'm a little excited about the thought of no longer detangling hair each morning or struggling to find hair ties on the way out the door for these boys. But also a little sad at the thought of them losing part of their identity.
This decision was made 4 years ago by Benjamin. He saw it as a way of doing something good. A way to finish his final year at Primary School with meaning. This encouraged his siblings to jump onboard which is amazing.
The 3 of them have battled through some tough times, constantly being called a "good girl" when out and about (even as recent as Sunday!). Their perseverance and commitment has encouraged 3 other boys to get on board this Friday. Benjamin and Jake are both running raffles at school (separate from this Givealittle page) as well to "make the first cut" which has drummed up some extra excitement!
We are also lucky enough to have 5 stylist coming along on Friday to lock after all of these amazing youth (and us 2 oldies!!).
Thanks to all of you have supported us so far
