We provide support and education to help you, and to help you support others, through all forms of loss.
Nationwide
Our Vision
We believe in a world where loss is normalised and supported. A world where people are empowered to talk about their struggles and have access to the right resources and education to support themselves and others regardless of their ability to pay.
The Barriers
Most New Zealanders are still not talking about loss and the affect it has on our everyday lives. In all age groups, we experience many types of loss and yet there is very little education or help. Without national recognition, many individuals and whanau suffer without support.
Your Solution
At The Grief Centre we are getting Loud about Loss, helping to open up the conversation on loss by providing people with the right tools they need to improve their wellbeing and resiliency to future losses. "The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief - But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love." Hilary Stanton Zunin
What can you do?
Please help us to support those struggling through loss in our communities by helping us to raise $5,000 for 50 free counselling sessions. You can show your support by clicking to donate what you can and send us or tag us in a video of you getting Loud about Loss. Every one of us holds the power to show others it is OK to let it out.
The Grief Centre is a charitable trust established in 2009 to provide specialist grief, loss and trauma support / education to the community and to professionals.
