To help others fighting the battle that is cancer - we can make a difference.

Kia Ora,
This year, for the fourth time, I’m shaving my crazy thick head of hair to raise funds for a cancer charity.
My beautiful McKendrick has asked if he too can shave his head to help others. Jed and I are very proud of our kind and caring boy!
Having fought and won against cancer, I made a promise to myself to give back to others still fighting the battle.
Over the last ten years, with your help, we have raised money for Camp Quality, Canteen, The Breast Cancer Foundation, and now The New Zealand Gynecological Cancer Foundation ( and the NZ Cancer Society Relay for Life ).
This year has been really brutal on many, Covid has impacted all our lives in different ways, however, sadly cancer does not take time off for a pandemic. The bastard.
On October 15th ( in around 6 weeks time ) in memory of my Gran, I will once again shave my head and send the hair to Dunedin to be used for making wigs.
Over the past 10 years, with your help, we have raised close to $10,000 in donations for different cancer charities, and I cannot tell you how amazing that makes me feel or how blessed I am to have your support.
Anything you can donate will be so appreciated, every little bit makes a difference to someone.
Get ready for offers of cakes, my kids cleaning your car, or just a delish coffee at our whare!
Lou x
In support of a special person in my life, this shave is to help raise funds for Ovarian Cancer.
