300 kms in one month, with 600 pull-ups to add to my pain. Please get behind me to help raise $3000 to support the Heart Foundation's work.
Auckland
This year, thanks to the global pandemic, the Heart Foundation cancelled its annual street appeal. Typically, street donations contribute hundreds of thousands towards the charity's life-saving work.
With heart disease impacting people very close to me, I have seen first-hand the value of the outcomes contributed to by the incredible research that the Heart Foundation funds. In years gone by, I have been out on the street raising money. This year that has not been possible, so I am hitting the streets differently.
Over March, I will run 10kms for 30 days, taking just one day off and completing 300kms in total. I will also finish each run with at least 20 pull-ups, hitting a minimum of 600 for the month.
This challenge will be a significant step-up from my regular fitness regime. It will test my metal. My company - Twenty CX - is sponsoring me $1,000 to boost things, but all up, I'm hoping to raise $3,000. That's just $10 per km, so please dig deep.
If you find it in your heart to support this cause, your money will contribute to vital research that will lead to advancements in the fight against heart disease. Heart disease remains one of the worlds biggest killers, so every penny helps.
Too many of us have lost loved ones too early to this insidious killer. Please donate below.
