Help Patrick, Thomas, and Nathan fundraise for KidsCan NZ as part of our McGlashan Challenge.

Otago

Myself, Thomas McCracken, and Nathan Harrison are Year 13s at John McGlashan College in Dunedin. At our school, we have an initiative called the McGlashan Challenge where we complete a physically/mentally challenging task to fundraise for a cause. Our challenge is a 3 day bike ride from the east coast of NZ in Dunedin to the west coast in Haast. We have decided to fundraise for KidsCan as we really relate to their cause and we would really like to make a difference for children in difficult situations in New Zealand as well as raise awareness for child poverty in NZ. Everyone should have the right to education, clean water, food, and shelter, and the thought that many children not having access to these basic needs in New Zealand is daunting. We should all understand the privilege that each and every one of us have and make an effort to help these children in need as I'm sure we can all sympathise with how difficult growing up without needs are. Every little bit counts, and I hope that collectively we can improve the lives of children in less privileged positions than us.
