What can one do with 23 inches of hair? Shave it off and fundraise for CanTeen of course!
Canterbury
Meg (15) was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at a mere 72 hours old. Throughout her life she has been blessed with the support of many Cancer based groups, the most recent of which has been CanTeen. She has been a sibling and patient member for two years now and has loved every minute of it. She wants to give back to the community that has helped her, so that they can continue to help people like her.
Lately she has missed a few haircuts. Her hair is now a whopping 23 inches long. This she would like to donate so that a wig can be made for someone who has lost their hair.
It has been done! 6 May 2015
Yesterday we all headed down to Meg's school for her head shave. The atmosphere between excited students and her family was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have been more thrilled.
Meg was so incredibly brave. From the moment we plaited her hair till the moment she saw her head, she was a bundle of giggles. Now she eagerly awaits for the wig to be made.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us so far.
