Mount Everest Challenge: Harder Version

From 25 Dec to 31 Dec 2022 I will be attempting to run up Mauao (Mount Maunganui) 100 times over the course of seven days, fundraising for the Philips Search and Rescue Trust.

The Philips Search and Rescue Trust (PSRT) is the organisation that provides rescue helicopter and medical transfer services for the majority of the North Island including the Bay of Plenty. If you ever need air transport between hospitals or a medical evacuation from a remote location - PSRT is one of the organisations that steps in to help on what is probably the worst day of your life. 100 laps up Mauao (Mount Maunganui) equates to a vertical ascent of 23,000m over a horizontal distance of 250km. That’s 2.5x Mount Everest’s (8,849m) concurrent with 6 marathons (42.2km). Heart Rate and GPS Data will be recorded throughout the week.
