It was brought to our attention that there are people around the world and more specifically in NZ that do not have a safe home to isolate in. Every night over 160 women in NZ need a safe place to escape too. Reports of domestic violence across the world during this pandemic have increased, for example in China their reports of domestic violence almost tripled during their lockdown.

Women’s Refuge is a way for us to help provide safety for women and children that feel unsafe in their homes. A $20 contribution provides one night of safety for a woman and child, this includes a hot meal, clean bed, childcare, and support.

To fundraise money towards this incredible initiative, we have created ‘Movid’, similar to movember where we grow out our moustaches (or what we can grow of them) for the duration of our lockdown period. We invite you to participate in any way you can. Donations of any size will be very much appreciated.
