Peer Support Volunteer Seeking Top Surgery Support

Help support Carson who has donated endless hours of his time supporting gender-diverse teens in a safe and inclusive space. Carson has been counting down the days to get a consult with a surgeon for Gender Affirming Top Surgery, and has finally been able to achieve his first goal of getting a quote! Now that the numbers are rolling in Carson is looking forward to the future of accessing this life-changing and affirming care, but he needs a bit of support to make this dream come true!

Carson was diagnosed with Pulmonary Tetralogy of Fallot at birth and has undergone 3 open heart surgeries so far. Carson additionally suffers from endocarditis making him more susceptible to heart-related complications. As a result of this condition Carson's option to access publicly funded top surgery is not an option.

Carson has been volunteering as a Peer Support Specialist co-facilitating a free Gender Diverse Teen Group for nearly a year. Carson is pivotal member of our team and community and we are hoping to help give some support back to him after all the support he has provided and is still providing.

Our hope it to help him raise the funds to access this affirming and life changing surgery.
