Project Waikato - every step of the river

I just heard from Mandy at Waikato RiverCare - she shared a photo of some shiny new spades that have been bought thanks to all of your kind donations! 🥰

As Mandy said, “I thought I'd share the pic of just some of the spades we've bought with your kind donation. Thanks, they're going to be brilliant and they'll never be as clean again!”

Until now, the Waikato RiverCare team had to hassle and borrow spades for their volunteer planting days - so being able to have their own set makes a real difference. These tools will keep getting muddy for years to come, helping volunteers plant thousands of native trees along the Waikato River 🌿

It’s so special to see our Project Waikato journey turning into something lasting and practical - your generosity literally putting tools into the hands of the people caring for the river.
