Pony tail chop to raise funds for Christchurch Charity Hospital
Christchurch, Canterbury
Hi everyone,
I’m cutting some of my hair off.
At the end of last year my Dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, he sadly passed away at the end of March this year. Dad’s diagnosis was a sobering reminder that we never know what’s around the corner and you really do have to just do the thing.
I’m hoping to raise some money for a charity incredibly close to my heart - The Canterbury Charity Hospital Trust. The CCHT is run entirely on donations and almost entirely on volunteers. They provide FREE medical, surgical and dental procedures to people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this care in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand.
My incredible Dad is the CEO of the CCHT, and my amazing Mum manages their dental unit. I’m so incredibly proud of everything they’ve contributed to the hospital and the remarkable work everyone involved in the hospital has achieved so far.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, but have always hesitated as hair is such a large part of our identity & I have never had short hair! I’ll be donating my pony tail to make a wig for someone struggling with the side effects of cancer treatment.
Any donations, large or small will be so deeply appreciated.

Thank you so so much
All the love,
