Participating in Rata Shootathon World Record for Southland Charity Hospital
Southland
On September 30 2022, we are spending 24 hours at ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill shooting for a world record to raise funds for the Southland Charity Hospital.
The Rata Shootathon will be a showcase of talent and our team will be hustling to break the WORLD RECORD of 14,400 goals, all the while raising money with every goal that successfully goes through the hoop. It’s no small feat and will take a huge amount of determination, accuracy, and mental toughness!
Our team members are:
Andrea de Vries, Paula Menzies, Brodie Henderson, Michelle Gorton, Rachel Duncan, Bethany Smith, Tammy Edginton
The services of the Southland Charity Hospital could have been life saving for the family of some our team members, so it was a no-brainer when this event was organised that we would be on board! We've been on target all season so expect us to go out the gate with our attempt! Thanks for supporting us!
Shootathon - Results 4 October 2022
We are so excited to have completed our Shootathon event on Friday / Saturday. Our Raptors team took out an incredible score of 31,363 goals scored in 24 hours, doubling the existing world record! They are officially GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BREAKERS!
We are so so proud and thank you to our sponsors along with the donations on this page, we are expecting to donate $60,000.00 to the Southland Charity Hospital. Thank you so much for all of your support!
