This is my personal fundraising page for the IT Heavy Hitter charity boxing event. Money raised will go to The Key to Life Charitable Trust.
Wellington
This is the first year I've been involved with IT Heavy Hitters and The Key to Life Charitable Trust and it's been really awesome to get involved with the many amazing people that make these a reality.
The training for this event has been intense and I'm really proud to have to have stuck with it since February to get ready for the event that takes place on May 5th. I'm training with the Red team and if I don't get a fight I'll be there wearing red supporting my team.
There were over 600 confirmed suicides in NZ in 2017, the youngest person was 12 years old. This event supports The Key to Life Charitable Trust who's aim is to forever change the way New Zealanders think, act and feel about mental health and suicide.
It also pays for immediate mental health care for those who turn up to their doctors and are depressed or even suicidal, and are told they'll be seen by a specialist in around 60 days.
Help me raise my goal of $1,000 for the charity.
We're heading into the final weeks of our intense 14-week training program to get us ready to get in the boxing ring and fight to support this cause. I've been matched up and selected as one of four backup fights to the 18 fights announced for fight night on May 5.
